Clinician, SOSL Program

Hinds LifeCare, one of the most well\-known and well\-respected nonprofit agencies in California’s Central Valley and a pioneer in the practice of hospice and palliative care, is seeking a Per Diem **Survivors of Suicide Loss (SOSL) Clinician** to join our Local Outreach to Survivors of Suicide loss team. ***This is a per diem, on call position: nights, weekends, holidays.*** Under operational direction of the Bereavement Services Manager, the SOSL Clinician works in the Center for Grief and Healing, specifically with the Survivors of Suicide Loss Program and the Loss team of Fresno County. * Remains on\-call nights, weekends and holidays to respond to suicide losses in Fresno County. * Provides supportive interventions to those experiencing the loss of a loved one by suicide at the time of death. * Collaborates with Law Enforcement, Chaplains and other first responders in the community at the time of a suicide death. * Makes home visits, as needed, and phone calls to provide supportive care to the bereaved. * May assist in facilitating support groups for Survivors of Suicide Loss **Why Hinds LifeCare:** A mission\-driven organization and a pioneer in hospice care, Hinds LifeCare seeks to uphold the dignity and ease the suffering of the terminally ill while supporting their loved ones and those who are grieving. Hinds LifeCare is Joint Commission accredited and was recently recognized by Fresno’s Marjaree Mason Center as its Leading Business for 2023\. * Compensation **$40 \- $46 hourly** * 401(k) with employer match * Employee Assistance Program * Credit Union membership * Professional Growth and Development Opportunities Clinical Ladders * State of the Art Simulation Lab **Qualifications include but are not limited to:** * Master's degree in Social Work or related field; or currently enrolled in a MSW or MFT program. . * Minimum (1\- 3\) years of direct service experience required. * Experience working with volunteers. * Computer/software/database literacy. * Experience and demonstrated ability to work with racially, culturally, and economically diverse populations. * Must have a valid drivers license and a willingness to use personal vehicle in the course of employment. * Must show proof of automobile insurance, proof of current auto registration and acceptable driving record (no more than 3 points within a 36 month period).
