Cleaning Attendant

Join Our Team! Cleaning Attendant/Janitor needed to work at Greenwood Funeral Home \& Gallery. The Cleaning Attendant/Janitor will be responsible for keeping the funeral home premises in a clean and orderly condition. Hours are Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; and Monday\-Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Core Duties \& Responsibilities: * Sweep, mop and vacuum floors. * Clean windows, mirrors, glass surfaces, and light fixtures. * Dusts and wipes down surfaces, furniture, and equipment. * Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies. * Empties trash inside building; and empties and cleans outside ashtrays. Transports trash and waste to disposal area. * Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishment as needed. * Makes coffee in guest lounge and keeps area clean during the workday. * Places flowers in staterooms as needed. * Other duties as needed to ensure facility is neat and clean. Qualifications: * Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred. * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. * Strong attention to detail and time management skills. * Regular and reliable attendance. * Ability to read and interpret daily funeral and cleaning schedule. * Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects as needed. * Excellent communication skills to interact with staff and visitors in a professional manner.
