Certified Crematory Operator

This position offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully within a supportive environment that values integrity, safety, and excellence. **Responsibilities** * Operate cremation equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to all industry standards and safety protocols * Prepare and set up cremation chambers, ensuring proper calibration and maintenance of industrial equipment * Handle remains with respect, following proper procedures for identification, documentation, and transfer * Conduct heavy lifting of caskets, remains containers, and related materials while maintaining safety standards * Perform routine inspections and maintenance on crematory machinery to ensure optimal performance * Document all cremation processes accurately, including start and end times, identification details, and any anomalies * Collaborate with funeral directing staff to coordinate the timely and respectful handling of remains **Qualifications** * Proven mechanical knowledge with experience operating industrial equipment or similar machinery * Ability to perform heavy lifting safely as part of daily responsibilities * Prior experience or training in funeral directing is a strong plus but not mandatory * Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills * Ability to follow strict safety procedures and maintain professionalism at all times * High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in mechanical systems is preferred Join us in providing compassionate service through a role that demands precision, respect, and professionalism.
