Cemetery Manager

**Job Overview** We are a family\-owned cemetery seeking a compassionate, reliable, and hands\-on Cemetery Manager to help oversee daily operations and care for our grounds. This role goes beyond maintenance, it is about serving families during some of the most important and sensitive moments of their lives. The ideal candidate understands that this work requires empathy, professionalism, and flexibility. Some weeks will be quiet, while others may require more time and responsiveness, including availability on weekends when services most often take place. This position offers an opportunity to play a meaningful role in our community by ensuring that every family experiences dignity, respect, and care when they visit our cemetery. **Key Responsibilities** * Field inbound calls and guide families through burial decisions with care and clarity * Oversee the operations and presentation of the cemetery grounds * Maintain accurate records and ensure all files, plots, and documentation are highly organized * Ensure that landscaping, including mowing, trimming, irrigation, and general upkeep are being maintained. * Ensure the property remains clean, safe, and welcoming for visiting families * Coordinate and support burial services, ensuring everything is handled with care and professionalism * Communicate with families, funeral homes, and visitors in a respectful and compassionate manner * Perform routine inspections to identify maintenance or safety needs * Manage tools, equipment, and basic inventory related to groundskeeping * Assist with scheduling and adapting to fluctuating workload, including weekend availability when needed **Qualifications** * Experience with site maintenance planning and team supervision * Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail * Some level of physical ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions for brief periods * Prior experience working with cemetery or memorial grounds is a plus Join us in creating a peaceful environment that honors memories while demonstrating professionalism and care.
