Cemetery Maintainer (Seasonal April - Dec.)

**General Duties:** The Town of Vernon Cemetery Dept is now accepting applications for Seasonal Cemetery Maintainer. This seasonal position is from April 1,2026 \- November 30,2026\. A Seasonal Maintainer is responsible for maintaining and landscaping all cemeteries managed by the Town of Vernon Cemetery Dept. Maintainers will use weed whackers, mowers, leaf blowers, hedge trimmers, paint, pick up trash and debris, clean buildings, garages and cars/trucks as well as funeral/ burial related tasks. We are seeking individuals 18 years of age or older that have a strong background operating a zero\-turn mower and other landscaping equipment must be able to work independently and have a valid driver's license. **Work Environment:** The work characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee works in outside weather conditions.
