Cemetery Groundskeeper

As a Groundskeeper, you will be responsible for the upkeep of lawns, gardens, pathways, and memorial areas, creating a peaceful environment that honors those laid to rest. **Duties** * Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, edging, and planting to keep grounds attractive and well\-kept * Operate power tools such as lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, and blowers safely and efficiently * Maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of lawns and gardens * Use hand tools for planting, pruning, weeding, and general gardening tasks * Assist with landscaping projects by installing new plantings or enhancing existing features * Ensure pathways, roads, and memorial areas are clean, safe, and accessible for visitors **Qualifications** * Prior experience in landscaping, gardening, or groundskeeping is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates * Knowledge of horticulture principles and landscape maintenance techniques * Ability to operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively * Familiarity with irrigation systems and lawn care practices * Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and appearance * Physical ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and operating equipment for extended periods * Excellent teamwork skills with a respectful attitude toward the solemn environment of the cemetery This role offers an engaging outdoor work environment where your efforts directly contribute to creating a peaceful space for reflection.
