Cemetery Groundskeeper

**Position Summary** This position supports cemetery interment operations and general grounds maintenance. The role requires strict compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including Cal/OSHA standards. The ideal candidate performs all duties with professionalism, accuracy, and the highest level of respect for decedents and families. **Key Responsibilities** **Cemetery Operations \& Interments** * Perform interments in accordance with all regulations and safety standards * Assist with grave preparation and closing procedures * Operate equipment and tools used in cemetery operations * Perform routine grounds maintenance including mowing, trimming, planting, irrigation, and general upkeep * Place, set, and remove memorials and monuments * Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas * Support the overall appearance and safety of cemetery property * Work closely with funeral home and cemetery staff during services and interments **Professional Development Opportunity** * Opportunity for future training in crematory operations to assist as backup or fill\-in support when needed **Qualifications** **Required** * Bilingual – English and Spanish * High school diploma or equivalent * Valid California driver’s license with acceptable driving record * Comfortable navigating new software and cloud\-based platforms * Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and perform physically demanding work indoors and outdoors * Availability to work weekends, holidays, and on\-call hours **Preferred** * Prior experience in cemetery operations, construction, landscaping, or grounds maintenance * Experience with interments and cemetery operations * Experience operating light equipment or machinery **Physical \& Environmental Requirements** * Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting * Outdoor work in varying weather and terrain * Exposure to equipment, machinery, and maintenance products **Benefits** * 401(k) * Health insurance * Dental insurance * Vision insurance * Paid time off * Professional development assistance Pay: $24\.00 \- $26\.00 per hour Benefits: * 401(k) * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Paid time off * Professional development assistance * Vision insurance Work Location: In person
