Cemetery Grounds Maintenance Crew member

**Overview** Highland Cemetery is looking to hire seasonal grounds maintenance crew members to help maintain the beautiful burial grounds in our care. We have a passionate staff who aim to provide a serene, well\-maintained environment for those visiting loved ones who have passed. **Responsibilities** * Perform landscape maintenance tasks including trimming, mowing, edging, and pruning to keep outdoor areas pristine. * Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks * Support gardening efforts by planting new greenery, mulching beds, and removing weeds or debris. * Maintain equipment and tools through regular cleaning, safety checks, and basic repairs. * Collaborate with team members to enhance the beauty of outdoor spaces. * Potential to assist with cemetery\-specific functions, such as digging foundations, aiding in the burial process, and backfilling graves. **Experience** * Prior experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is valued. * Familiarity with lawn care techniques and the use of hand tools and power tools is advantageous. * Previous work with landscaping equipment will help you excel in this role. * Ability to follow safety procedures diligently when operating power tools or equipment * A proactive attitude with excellent teamwork skills to support a positive work environment.
