EXAMPLE OF DUTIES Prepares grave sites and back fills them to state specifications using a backhoe.Maintains cemetery grounds, including fertilizing, mowing, edging, trimming, and pruning.Maintains all roadways and walkways, including picking up trash, and clearing weeds.Assists in setting up burial grounds for funerals when needed.Leads the procession into the cemetery as needed.Supervises working inmates to perform various projects at the cemetery.Maintain County issued vehicle and equipment in a clean and good working condition. SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION Will train how to operate a backhoe; state regulations for burial preparation; and basic landscaping practices and procedures. Operate backhoe; perform landscaping tasks, such as mowing, edging, and trimming; supervise work of inmates; and establish and maintain effective working relationships with co\-workers, inmates, and the general public.
