**RESPONSIBILITIES:**
We are seeking dedicated individuals to play a crucial role in ensuring the respectful and compassionate handling of deceased individuals entrusted to our care. As a Care Team Specialist, you will be involved with the dignified process of transporting decedents into the care of the funeral home. Transfers can take place from care facilities, medical centers, homes, or “on\-scene”.
We have full\-time and part\-time positions available. **A full\-time position on our care team offers a flexible schedule.** Part\-time positions are on a “per diem” or “on\-call” basis and could supplement an existing job and/or work around unique schedules. This role demands a combination of professionalism, deep compassion, and strict adherence to our high standards as you fulfill the following responsibilities:
* Coordinate transportation arrangements.
* Maintain compassionate, emotionally supportive interactions with families.
* Comply with established procedures.
* Maintain a professional demeanor in appearance while representing the funeral home.
* Be thorough in documentation.
* Perform equipment maintenance.
* Coordinate with Funeral Directors and clearly communicate important details.
* Maintain a highly sensitive handling of deceased individuals, with the utmost care, reverence, and respect, ensuring dignity throughout the transportation process.
* Uphold strict confidentiality and privacy standards when handling information related to the deceased and their families.
* Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
* Must be able to lift and carry 80 pounds and pull objects 135 pounds.
* Be able to respond within a 30\-minute period upon notification.
**QUALIFICATIONS:**
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Valid Driver’s License and a good driving record.
* **No previous experience required!** We provide comprehensive on\-the\-job training to ensure you are fully prepared for this role.
* A genuine, caring heart with the emotional maturity to work in a sensitive and deeply compassionate environment.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
* Thoroughness in documenting.
* Initiative to help other team members without instruction.
* Able to maintain strict confidentiality.
* Maintain professional demeanor and appearance.
